The Worthington classical wood column is
our economical wood column with a
classical taper (bottom 1/3 is
not-tapered; the top 2/3 has a gradual
taper)and a classical bead style. These
columns are available in plain or fluted
from 6” up to 24” in diameter with a
Tuscan capital and roman doric base.
They are structural and are backed with
a 1 year limited warranty. Polyurethane
caps and bases are recommended for
interior or exterior use and a wood
capital and base is optional for
exterior. Worthington also offers a wide
range of decorative capitals to
complement most any design. These
columns are made from southern yellow
pine and are designed for paint grade
applications. The classical column is an
economical way to have a classical
architectural column for your project.

Used when wrapping this column around a corner. This is a 1/4 cut out. |
Plan C
Used against a wall. |
Plan D
For columns that are going around an existing structural support and pilasters. |
Plan Q
1/4 cut used when putting a column in an inside corner. (the 3/4 piece is also shipped.) |
