DESCRIPTION
A. The
Worthington high-density urethane balustrade
system is pressure molded polyurethane to
achieve a density similar to pine millwork
B. Balustrades
and top/bottom rail shall be the Worthington
polyurethane balustrade system based on design

C. Newel posts
shall be the Worthington polyurethane newel with

D. Newel caps

E. Balustrade
system shall be factory primed with exterior
latex primer to receive exterior latex top-coat
on jobsite.
1.2 SUBMITTALS

Product data: Submit manufacturer’s
descriptive literature, specifications,
installation instructions and limited
warranty.
B. Shop
drawings: Submit full-size details and
method of installation.
C. Samples:
Provide samples of standard design or
profile of custom design (custom designs
submittals only available in form of CAD)

2.2 MATERIALS
A.
Ultra-Violet: Not affected when properly
coated with paint.
B. Solvent
Resistance: Resistant.
C. Odor/Gas:
Normal Conditions – release no gases and is
odor free.
D. Vermin &
Fungus Resistance: Resistant.
E.
Insulation: Greater insulating value than
comparable wood products.

3.2 WARRANTY
A. Worthington
hereby warrants its parts upon the following
conditions against defects in materials and
workmanship for a period of one year after
delivery to Purchaser when used and installed
under normal conditions. THE FORGOING WARRANTY
IS IN LIEU OF AND EXCLUDES ALL OTHER WARRANTIES
NOT EXPRESSLY SET FORTH HEREIN. WHETHER
EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED BY OPERAION OF LAW OR
OTHERWISE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR
FITNESS. Failure to follow Worthington’s
Storage and Installation instructions will void
this limited warranty. Buyer and installer must
inspect each piece before installation. Buyer
and installer waive all defects which could have
been discovered by reasonable inspection prior
to installation. This includes all
misalignments, misfit parts, dimensional
discrepancies and the like. In the event that
any claim is made under the warranty, an
authorized representative of Worthington shall
have the right to inspect the parts and if, in
his or her sole discretion, said representative
determines the part(s) defective, Worthington
will REPAIR, REPLACE, OR REFUND its customer the
amount paid to Worthington for said defective
parts. REFUND as described above. WORTHINGTON
SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY TO ANY PERSON FIRM OR
CORPORATION WHATSOEVER FOR INCIDENTAL OR
CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES such as but not limited
to labor, finishing cost, parts damaged by
freight carriers, freight charges, installation,
lost profits, lost sale or the like. NO
PURCHASER MAY TAKE ANY DEDUCTION CREDIT OR
SETOFF AGAINST ANY AMOUNT OWED WOTHINGTON OR
MAKE ANY CHARGEBACK WITHOUT EXPRESS WRITTEN
CONSENT BY WORTHINGTON.
